Where in Madagascar can we find the best English teaching program?
Few years yet, Madagascar tends to be an English speaking country. Though, far from that point, the new youth generation is more and more attracted to that tendency.
For all the Middle Ages (born before the 90’s) it is pretty hard to get that point and to learn new this so called 3rd language in Madagascar. To a scientist, a human can speak a new language in roughly a month if he is under 7 years old and is living inside within the society which is using the language.
I don’t know guys if you do realize how amazing it is to learn a language once you are old enough and not able memorize most of the grammar rules of the language. Learning thing from scratch is not just a good thing for old people.
So, seize the day and take a stub while you are young. Also, mind not to lose your time with those vocational institutes here and there telling that they offer the best means to learn English language in just few months. Better first, reading and asking advice from friends. That is what this blog is for.
In Antananarivo the most famous places to learn English are:
-University of Ankatso
-ACC Antanimena
-Cnela Antsahabe
-Eli Soarano
-TOP Flight Andravoahangy Ambony
-Welcome center Ankazotokana
-Alpha School 67 ha
Depending on your situation and level, one of those listed above should be able to help you improve your English. If not, the list can be added if needs be.
Other alternative is being a self-taught. Means are now available from wherever you are.
Internet is I suppose the tool for it. But never books are out of the directory.
You can for instance use:
-“Practical grammar in use” is to fine tune your grammar (I do search one in case anyone has)
-“Street talk” is to help you learn and practice English in a daily use
-“Headway” is to master the whole about English
and some other stuff.
But above all, as far as I know, practice is the only one way to master English Language.
I advice you then to join a club. Here are some :
-Ice Club at EPP Rabearivelo every Saturday morning
-EFL at ELI Soarana every Saturday morning.
-MLEC at Analakely on Mondays and Thursdays at noon.
Last alternative and not to neglect is to watch movies and Listen to English speaking radio broadcats.
For that, you have :
-Feon’imerina -FM 101.6- on Saturdays from 7.15pm to 8.15pm (Local time)
-Radio Mada -FM 100.8- on Saturday from 4pm to 5.30pm (Local time)
-BBC -FM 89.2- round the clock
-VOA -FM 101.2-
That is what I can fo sor far. Questions, comments are welcome

English is speaking, reading and listening. It’s hard to be good at the three of them but it’s not impossible
. I must say that finding books in English here in Tana is hard, they are like black goose loool

The best way to learn English is PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE
I even talked to myself before. Be in an English environment: music you listen to, movies you watch, books you read…

This is very good.I learn English at languagelab.com and they tech me lots of things. They have a English City on line for students to practice. I think this is the best way because you can practice in real situation. You can practice again and again. You have made a very impressive site so far. I look forward to reading and learning more.

Aariaina, good the idea. But for my case for example. How will manage talking to other people ? I don’t want to be ridiculous. My pronunciation is just out of tune. I’d rather write. That way, I still have time to think.

Hey, I am a CELTA qualified English teacher living in the United States. I am interested in teaching English in Madagascar. The list of schools above is really useful but I was wondering if you could also give us the email addresses of these schools so I could apply for the position of an English teacher. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
